August 2021 Beauty, Skincare and Wellness Empties

August 2021 Beauty, Skincare and Wellness Empties

The best products are the ones you use up to the very last drop and then repurchase. A few months ago I finally organised enough to collect my beauty, skincare and wellness empties, and I have done it again throughout August, and I'm excited to share them with you! There are so many 5/5 products this month, with some I've already repurchased.

Brand: Dr Dennis Gross
Product: B3Adaptive SuperFoods Stress Rescue Super Serum, 7ml

Price: $105 for 30ml
Where did I get it: Sample from Mecca
I would likely: I have already repurchased
Rate: 5/5

My thoughts:
This serum features scientifically engineered microcapsules of superfoods, adaptogens and niacinamide that work to correct and prevent visible signs of stress such as worry lines, dullness, comprised skin and stress induced flare ups. This is the perfect serum to use in either your AM or PM skincare routine. This is a great all rounder serum, that really becomes a MVP in my routine after I use a skin peel or when my skin is feeling more sensitive or dry than normal.

Brand: Chantecaille
Product: Stress Repair Concentrate, 3ml

Price: Unknown

Where did I get it: Sample from Mecca
I would likely: Use if gifted
Rate: 3/5

My thoughts:
This is an all-in-one eye cream that has been formulated to reduce the appearance of dark, puffy eyes and decrease the appearance of wrinkles. I'm still not 100% sold on the impact of using an eye cream. I found a small amount went a long way and that it did appear to soften wrinkles around the eye area. It's just whether I would buy an eye cream. This product is no longer stocked at Mecca, however they do stock the Chantecaille Stress Repair Concentrate+.

Brand: Hair Rituel by Sisley
Product: Regenerating Hair Care Mask, 8ml

Price: $130 for 200ml
Where did I get it: Sample from Mecca
I would likely: Consider purchasing in the future.
Rate: 4/5
My thoughts:
This hair mask has been formulated to be intense nourishment for hair suffering from stress. It has a powerful blend of ingredients to restore resilience and strength, while smoothing and soothing. Botanical oils, including shea, camelia and hazelnut oil, nurture both strands and scalp, for healthier hair right from the roots. It smells divine and left my hair (which has been abused my the elements) feeling healthy and manageable. I crunched the numbers and the sample would of been around $6 of product. For $6 is it worth it? Yes! However for me I currently have a small stockpile of hair masks to work my way through before I spend $130 on a hair mask product.

Brand: Perricone MD

Product: High Potency Classics Face Finishing & Firming Moisturiser, 15ml
Price: $98 for 59ml
Where did I get it: Purchased from Mecca
I would likely: Repurchase
Rate: 4/5
My thoughts:
I bought this after trying a sample from Mecca. The texture of this face moisturiser is creamy and watery at the same time. It is absorbed quickly, leaving a nice and smooth feeling on the skin. While using it my skin felt nourished and plump. It is a great light weight all rounder moisturiser that can be used in the am or pm.

Brand: Kiehl's

Product: Creme de Corps, 125ml
Price: $36 for 125ml
Where did I get it: Purchased from Kiehl's
I would likely: I have already repurchased
Rate: 4/5
My thoughts:
Although I have a stock pile of body lotions in a variety of scents and formulations, I wanted to give the Kiehl's Creme de Corps a try to see what all the hype was about. This is now a favourite and I have repurchased it already. The scent isn't too heavy, so it doesn't clash with any perfumes. It is fast absorbing and non greasy. I also used it to treat chilblains on my toes, and within in a few days they were gone. The only down side is the packaging, the squeezy bottle isn't great, I cut it open and decanted the remaining product into an empty tub.

Brand: Kiehl's
Product: Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution, 1.5ml

Price: $88 for 30ml
Where did I get it: Sample from Kiehl's
I would likely: Would consider purchasing in the future
Rate: 4/5
My thoughts:
It was recommended to me to use a dark spot solution on the pigmentation that I have on my forehead. I used this sample until one from another brand that I had purchased online arrived. I did notice a slight improvement. However it is difficult to gauge from just a sample sachet. I would consider purchasing this product in the future as it is a little more cost effective that what I had purchased.

Brand: Swisse
Product: Ultiboost Iron

Price: $11.95 for 30 tablets
Where did I get it: Purchased
I would likely: I have already repurchased
Rate: 5/5
My thoughts: For me I need to take an iron supplement and there are a few things I like about the Ultiboost Iron from Swisse. In particular that the price point is reasonable and I find the iron levels in each tablet are perfect for my iron needs.

Brand: St.Tropez
Product: Self Tan Bronzing Mousse Classic

Price: $59.99 for 240ml
Where did I get it: Gifted from Bellabox
I would likely: Consider repurchasing this product
Rate: 5/5
My thoughts:
St.Tropez is my favourite brand when it comes to fake tan. This product is fool proof and creates a really natural-looking tan.

Brand: Blackmores
Product: Milk Thistle, 42 tablets

Price: $20.49 for 42 tablets
Where did I get it: Purchased
I would likely: Pass on the product
Rate: 1/5
My thoughts:
Milk Thistle is traditionally used in Western herbal medicine to support healthy liver function, support the natural liver cleansing process and reduce the symptoms of indigestion. I honestly didn't notice anything different in taking the tablets or not taking the tablets in regards to symptoms of indigestion.

Brand: Ulta3
Product: Wake Me Up Eye Mask, 1 mask

Price: $5.95 for 1 mask
Where did I get it: December 2020 Bellabox
I would likely: Use if gifted
Rate: 2/5
My thoughts:
I love a good eye mask that helps you look instantly rested. The Wake Me Up Hydrogel Eye Mask is enriched with brightening and hydrating ingredients such as Cucumber Extract and Caffeine. It's designed to cool and de-puff the skin while providing moisture to your under-eye area for a bright and lifted appearance. I just really do not like to amount of waste created from the packaging.
