May 2021 Beauty, Skincare and Wellness Empties

May 2021 Beauty, Skincare and Wellness Empties

The best products are the ones you use up to the very last drop and then repurchase. I've finally been organised enough to collect my beauty, skincare and wellness empties throughout May, and I'm excited to share them with you!

Brand: Kiehl's

Product: Super Multi-Corrective Cream, 7ml

Price: $98 for 50ml

Where did I get it: Sample with an order from Kiehl's

I would likely: purchase

Rate: 5/5

My thoughts:

This cream is divine! The product has been formulated to target fine lines and wrinkles on the face and neck to combat the visible effects of tech neck and other signs of aging. It's super smooth but has a balm-like texture and almost melts onto the skin. It's not oily, doesn't feel heavy, is incredibly moisturising and smells luxurious too. It feels luxe and makes my skin so soft and supple. My only hesitation with buying it would be the price; however, that would probably not stop me as you don't need a lot since it spreads so nicely.

Brand: Drunk Elephant

Product: F-Balm Electrolyte Waterfacial Masque Hydratant, 5ml

Price: $27 for 15ml
Where did I get it: Mecca Beauty Loop Level 3 Box
I would likely: use if gifted
Rate: 3/5
My thoughts:
This overnight mask features a cocktail of hydrating and barrier-replenishing ingredients. Generally, I find overnight masks a little bit meeh, and this one was no different. I applied this as the last step of my nighttime skincare routine on top of my moisturiser. It feels nice and lovely, though I didn't notice any significant additional hydration or plumpness in the morning compared to when I didn't use it. If I didn't have time for a dedicated hydrating mask, I would possibly buy this product as a time-saver; however, that's not the case, so I don't require this product.

Brand: Kiehl's

Product: Hydro-Pluming Serum Concentrate, 5ml

Price: $95 for 50ml

Where did I get it: Sample with an order from Kiehl's

I would likely: purchase

Rate: 5/5

My thoughts:

This product delivers on its promise to "Intensively hydrates to help improve the appearance of tired-looking or dull skin that can be caused by age-related dehydration", my combination ageing skin responded incredibly well to this product, resulting in a smoother appearance. As with most Kiehl's products a little bit goes a long way and so although you may think the price point is a little high for the the amount of product you receive, looking at it from the point of few of how many uses you get and the results I experienced I would certainly purchase this product next time I'm looking to buy a serum.

Brand: Kiehl's

Product: Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil Herbal Concentrate, 4ml

Price: $76 for 30ml

Where did I get it: Sample with an order from Kiehl's

I would likely: purchase

Rate: 5/5

My thoughts:

There are very few face oils I like to use as I tend to get a hay-fever like reaction to most of them, however this one I really like. This is the second sample of this product I've gone through in the past few months. The face oil is uniquely formulated for problem skin, think skin that is prone to blemishes, visible redness and discomfort. This sample was my go to when I wanted to visibly reduce skin redness and provides my skin with relief from any discomfort. For me it was like comfort food for my skin.

Brand: John Plunkett's

Product: Super Lift Even Skin Tone Dark Spot Eraser Treatment Serum, 10ml

Price: $39.95 for 30ml
Where did I get it: February 2019 Bellabox
I would likely: use if gifted
Rate: 2/5
My thoughts:
The Dark Spot Eraser Serum is for uneven skin tone, including dark spots and redness, but it is also formulated to help reduce other signs of ageing. I liked the idea of this serum because you can use it after cleansing in the morning and at night. I was looking forward to using this product to treat the pigmentation I have on my forehead from years of sun exposure. After using it, I'm not convinced that it has made enough of a difference to fading and evening out my pigmentation. This serum is somewhat sticky, and it left me with a glaze-like shiny-ness and required a wait time of a few minutes to absorb.

Brand: Wellness Relief Co.
Product: Vitamin K2+D3

Price: $47.95 for 60 capsules (1 per serving)
Where did I get it: Gifted in exchange for content
I would likely: use if gifted
Rate: 4/5
My thoughts:
For the price point of this product if I were in the need to purchase Vitamin K2 and D3 I would possibly buy a cheaper alternative as I personally didn't notice a big difference in taking the Wellness Relief Co. Vitamin K2+D3. I'm confident that if I were to have before and after blood work done there would be a slight difference as a result. They are easy to swallow and if you're looking for a vitamin to help Support bone health and boost your immunity this product is worth looking into.

Brand: Kirra

Product: Citrus Kiss - Salt & Sugar Body Scrub

Price: $19.95 for 200g

Where did I get it: Gifted in exchange for content

I would likely: purchase

Rate: 5/5

My thoughts:
Compared to scrubs at a similar price point for the product size that I've tried this is one of my favourites. The Coconut Oil, Almond Oil and Shea Oil in the formula leaves your skin so moisturised that if you're pressed for time or just want to get into your Pjs you can skip applying body moisturiser. The citrus ingredients makes for a a zesty and invigorating experience. Unlike a coffee scrub you don't have a mess to clean up afterwards either. What I also adore about Kirra is that they are an Australia company that hand makes their vegan and cruelty free free products in Australia. This is the type of product I would purchase both for myself and as a gift.
