Things To Do: So Frenchy So Chic Melbourne 2023

A day full of sun, fun, live French musicians and flowing Champagne, it must be So Frenchy So Chic!

Since 2012, So Frenchy So Chic has provided an unforgettable day experience celebrating life's simple pleasures in a convivial, Provençal-style picnic setting at the historic Werribee Mansion. A day full of cultural discovery, meaningful social connection, and music. The picturesque picnic setting is complemented by the delicious hampers for sale, gourmet food from famous fromagerie Milk the Cow, Frederic Bistro, L'Hotel Gitan, and food stalls that sell everything from crêpes to croquettes, oysters to salmon rillettes and a magnificent array of desserts.

As for the live music over the years, So Frenchy So Chic has showcased over 50 of France's top talent, including FEFE (a personal favourite of mine), Yelle, The Dø, Clara Luciani, Nouvelle Vague, Lou Doillon, Nadéah, Brigitte, Deluxe, Camille, Bertrand Belin, and La Femme … to name a few. Fresh from France’s summer festival circuit, this year's headline acts are Pi Ja Ma, Kalika, Rover & Suzane, two of whom have won awards at the Victoires De La Musique (the French equivalent of the Grammys)!

With a fresh line-up of French performers and gourmet food, So Frenchy So Chic remains the poshest picnic in the Southern Hemisphere.
