10 Tips for How to Keep Your Identity Private in a Webinar

The extraordinary wide world of webinars, they have made it more convenient to attend events and at less of an expense. Plus you don't even have to put pants on if you don't want to. But what other dynamics have changed as a result of talks, seminars and workshops going online?

Previously you would attend a workshop or talk in person, and you may or may or not be given a name tag. Even then, you could choose how or if you wore it. You knew if it was being recorded by seeing a camera person in the crowd, you were well versed in how to maintain control over your privacy in these settings and you could visually see who was in attendance.

Now with webinars, you are inviting up to over 100 strangers into your home. Something I struggle with is that as an attendee your online privacy is mostly in the hands of the webinar facilitators, some will use controls to hide participants, others will not, and then there is everything in between.

The comforting thing is that you, as an indivi…

July 2020 Bellabox Review

July 2020 Bellabox Beauty Review

Melbourne is back in stage 3 lockdown for COVID-19 and delivered treats, and reminders for self-care have been welcomed with open arms. My Bellabox this month (July) features a selection of skincare and beauty products perfect for being curled up at home during the colder winter months. I received lip balm from Burt's Bees, cleansing gel from Avene, to add a little pop for those all-important video calls an eyeliner lipliner duo from Saint Luxe and more. There is well over $80 worth of products in my Bellabox this month.

Here are all the gorgeous products that I received in my Bellabox this month:

UNIQUE TO MY BELLABOX:

Saint Luxe Beauty Luxe Eyeliner and Lipliner Duo, full-size, RRP USD $40

So much pigment! The Lipliner is incredible, the colour is perfect for me, and I've tried it alone under and over Lip Balm as well as with Lipstick. I've since thrown out my under performing lipliners as this is my new go-to. Now for the eyeliner, it is a budge-proof, gel-based liner that glides on effortlessly and stays put. I like to smudge my eyeliner to create a softer smokey look, and this product does that too. I would buy both of these products; they allow for precision, do not budge and are long-wearing.

Burt's Bees Ultra Conditioning Lip Balm, full-size, RRP $6.95

Kiss dry lips goodbye this winter with the 100% natural Burt's Bees Ultra-Conditioning Lip Balm. This cruelty-free clinically proven formula provides up to 4 hours of long-lasting moisturisation. Infused with rich Kokum, Shea, and Cocoa Butters, it gives you more butter and less wax. One thing I do like about this product is that it does not contain sunscreen, making it perfect for using in the evening or when inside the house. I've been using this product of an evening before bed and have found my lips to feel soft and smooth in the morning.

Bean Body Coffee Clay Mask Charcoal, full-size 50ml, RRP $29.95

Another amazing cruelty-free product in this month's Bellabox. Made with skin-loving charcoal and bentonite clay to detoxify your skin. And kaolin, aloe, witch hazel and caffeine to hydrate and refine your face for that post mask glow. Caffeine also helps to target pores tired areas.

Gently squeeze out enough product to apply an even coverage to your face. Leave on for 15-30 mins, enough time to have a cup of coffee or read a chapter of a book and then wash it off. I've been using this product 2 times a week and am loving how refreshed my skin feels afterwards.

Yes To Cucumbers Calming Paper Face Mask, 1 mask 20ml, RRP $5.99

This single-use Yes To Cucumbers Paper Mask is formulated to soothe and calm sensitive skin. Recently I've had some skin issues that have been brought on by the cold Melbourne winter weather. I have read a few reviews about this product indicating that those with sensitive skin haven't had a pleasant experience. I'm going to pass on trying this product for now.

Avene Cleanance Cleansing Gel, sample size 25ml, RRP $24.95 for 200ml

The Cleanance Soap-free Cleansing Gel gently removes impurities from the skin. This product helps to reduce excess sebum without drying out the skin thanks to Monolaurin. Soap-free and paraben-free, it is formulated to minimise the risk of an allergic reaction. After my first time using this product, my skin felt soft to the touch, mattified, clean, fresh, purified.

BONUS PRODUCTS:

  • A sachet of Alpha-H Essential Skin Perfecting Moisturiser
  • Hello Fresh Gift Voucher

In 5 words I would describe this month's Bellabox as "winter care for those inside". I can't wait to see what beauty products will be inside my Bellabox in August!

For those who aren't familiar with Bellabox, it is a monthly themed subscription beauty box. Each month you can expect to receive 1-2 hero products which are generally full-sized, 3-4 beauty products which will often vary from subscriber to subscriber. There's typically a bonus product which tends to be a sachet sample. I have found that in each box I receive that there is an excellent mix of on-trend, new and classic health and beauty items. I have, on numerous occasions, purchased products after trying them through Bellabox, because I loved them so much. If you want to treat yourself to a wrapped surprise every month, then Bellabox is undoubtedly something I would recommend to you.

Bellabox - RRP: $19.95 (includes Postage) on a subscription plan, billed monthly, but you can cancel anytime.
