First 7 Nights Of Sleeping On A Silk Pillowcase

Is it true that sleeping on a silk pillowcase has beauty benefits? Are they the anti ageing miracle products that influencers claim them to be? Do they genuinely prevent wrinkles?

I was a sceptic while also wanting to believe the articles and social media posts I had seen online. For over six months, I had been trying to justify the spend on a silk pillowcase and wondering whether it was worth it.

I was scouring blogs and websites for the best advice on which one to get. I found that pricing varied from $25 (on eBay) to well over $100. Where was I to start?

One night while scrolling through reviews of silk pillowcases, I spotted the Go-To Face Case at an affordable and reasonable $65.

Go-To is known for their no-fuss skincare range, they are an Australian company, and I thought who better to trust. The following day, I jumped onto the MECCA online store and made my purchase. The next 24 hours were interesting, with thoughts around whether I had made the right decision, it was $65 for o…

April 2020 Bellabox Review

April 2020 Bellabox Review

My Bellabox this month (April) came chock full of a range of skincare products. Some I've never tried before like the Cerave Hydrating Cleanser and others are old favourites like the La Roche-Posay Toleriane Moisturiser and Sand & Sky Australian Pink Clay Porefinning Face Mask. There is over $50 worth of products in my Bellabox this month.

For those who aren't familiar with Bellabox, it is a monthly themed subscription beauty box with 1-2 hero products which are generally full-sized, 3-4 beauty products which will often vary from subscriber to subscriber. There's typically a bonus product which tends to be a sachet sample. I have found that in each box I receive that there is an excellent mix of on-trend, new and classic health and beauty items. I have, on numerous occasions, purchased products after trying them through Bellabox, because I loved them so much. If you want to treat yourself to a wrapped surprise every month, then Bellabox is undoubtedly something I would recommend to you.

Here are all the gorgeous products that I received in my Bellabox this month:

Elizabeth Mott Queen Of The Fill Brow Gel, full-size, RRP $20.00 US

I have never used a tinted Brow Gel until now, and I'm incredibly impressed by this product. I received the Brow Gel in Light Medium, which works well with my dark blonde eyebrows in creating a natural look. It also stays on your brow all day and doesn't smudge. Which is a major plus to me as I'm always smudging my brows when wearing sunglasses.

Sand & Sky Australian Pink Clay Porefinning Face Mask, sample size 13g. RRP $69.90 for 60g

The original product from cult Aussie skincare brand, Sand & Sky, it promises to refine pores and to brighten the complexion, while drawing impurities and pollutants out from the pores. I can safely say it lives up to its many of its promises. Following the instructions and rinsing it off, I couldn't stop touching my face. My skin felt soft, smooth and supple.

Pantene Pro-V Blends Micellar Gentle Cleansing Shampoo, sample size 100ml, RRP $19.99 for 300ml

After just one wash, I did notice a difference; my hair felt smoother and smelled terrific. You don't need to use much of the product to give your hair a good clean - a little goes a long way. I'm not 100% sure that I would buy this product over my preferred hair care products.

Cerave Hydrating Cleanser, sample size 20ml, RRP $12.99 for 236ml

A hydrating cleanser that was developed by dermatologists to cleanse and refresh the skin without leaving it tight and dry. I like my face cleanser to foam up, even just a little. I find this product to be a bit too gentle on my skin. I would probably only use this product in the morning or after a day of not wearing makeup to cleanse and already bare face.

La Roche-Posay Toleriane Moisturiser, sample size, RRP $31.95 for 40ml

This lightweight moisturiser has a gel-like texture that is ideal for combination/sensitive skin with tightness, tingling, dryness and occasional redness. I honestly cannot fault this product, and I love everything about it!

A 5ml sachet of Alpha-H Micro Cleanse Super Scrub

Pet Circle $15 off voucher

In 5 words I would describe this month's Bellabox as "perfect for iso virtual meetings". I can't wait to see what beauty products will be inside my Bellabox in May!

Bellabox - RRP: $19.95 (includes Postage) on a subscription plan, billed monthly, but you can cancel anytime.
