August Bellabox Review

Bellabox August 2018 Review Nicole Tattersall
This month’s ‘Beauty Reset’ Bellabox is packed full of products from an exfoliating treatment from a cult brand to precision liquid eyeliner. Perfect for switching up your skincare and beauty regime from winter to spring. In my Bellbox I received a selection of predominantly sample sized products valued at over $45. Though small they do pack a beauty punch.

Here are all the products I received in my Bellabox this month and my thoughts on them...

Sand & Sky Flash Perfection Exfoliating Treatment, sample size 13g

The latest drop from the cult Aussie skincare brand, Sand & Sky is an exfoliating scrub that doubles as a mask.
Created at their customer's request, the Flash Perfection Exfoliating Treatment promises to absorb oil and refine pores, resurface and mattify skin and, when left on for 5-minutes in the shower, boost skin's glow. I can safely say it lives up to its many of its promises. Following the instructions, and rinsing it off, I couldn't stop touching my face. My skin felt soft, smooth and supple. It looked clear and radiant and pores seemed to of been minimised.
I did have some skin irritation within 24 hours of use, however in that time I had used sunscreen, been out surfing and had used a minty facewash, so I'm not 100% sure what caused the reaction.

Mellow Cosmetics Precision Liquid Pen Eyeliner, full-size
I'll be upfront and honest I have never in my entire life used liquid eyeliner so I can only compare this product to pencils, and creams. I found that it is great for a bolder more intense look and that the felt tip on the liner gives the flexibility for a fine thin line or a bold line. An added bonus for me about the product is that it is 100% vegan and cruelty-free and that the highly pigmented formula is 100% mineral-based. Though it delivers long-lasting, waterproof results it came off easily with makeup remover.

Coco & Eve Coconut & Fig Hair Mask, sample size 30g

I battle with sweaty scalp and so am rather particular with what I use haircare wise so I will not be trying this product out. The product is said to restore dry damaged hair, hydrate and deeply condition while improving texture and shine and preventing split ends and frizz.

CANVAS Beauty Rose Otto Overnight Intense Moisture Mask, sample size 10ml

The Rose Otto Overnight Intense Moisture Mask treats and hydrates your skin as you sleep with PatcH2OTM, a molecular mesh combined with a high concentration of moisturising complex. Infused with an extract from Kakadu Plum, the world’s richest source of Vitamin C, the luxurious mask promises to smooth the skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines. During the colder months, I regularly use hydrating masks to combat dryness and other skin concerns that pop up.

La Roche-Posay Toleriane Caring Wash, sample size 50ml
La Roche-Posay is one of my top 5 beauty brands at the moment, so I was pretty excited to receive this generous sample of their Toleriane Caring Wash. This ultra-gentle wash cleanses and removes makeup without irritation making it perfect for normal to dry, sensitive skin. The silky texture of this cleanser is lovely and light, fragrance-free which is music to my ears and heaven for my skin. This formulation is incredibly gentle and doesn't leave your skin feeling tight or stripped of its natural oils.

Revlon Youth FX™ Fill + Blur Primer for Face / Neck, Sachet

This primer uses micro-fillers and optical diffusers to fill in and blur pesky lines and wrinkles. It isn't a product I would use often so to get a sachet to try is nice, however, I would have liked to of received two sachets. The reason is I use a primer when I have a big occasion to go to and I would have liked one to try the product out prior and the other to use for the important event. I've read some reviews that there have been issues with the way foundation sits on top of this primer so I'm somewhat cautious.

To sum up what I think of the August box in five words "great new products to try". I can't wait to see what will be in the September Bellabox next month.
